 Carien
was born in Holland and her family moved to New Zealand when
she was 5 years old. At 9 years of age, her family moved to
the United States.
Carien started riding in high school and graduated from SUNY
Cobleskill. She also is a graduate from the New England
School of Photography. Carien said "I feel very fortunate to
make a living doing two of my favorite things".
Since 1976, Carien has covered a wide variety of horseshows
from All-Arabian and Morgan breed shows to the NY 100 Mile
Competitive Trailride, Lorenzo Driving Competition, Dressage
and farms of all breeds. She has covered events from
Virginia to Ohio to Maine
Carien and her husband have 2 daughters, Shelby (16) and
Trina (11). They raise Arabian horses and recently have
become involved with Dog Rescue and foster Boxers before
they get adopted.
