Cyberfoal
Born In Canada:
Cyberfoal.com was introduced to the Internet in 1997 by Peter J. Hurst,
breeding manager to Clayborne Farm, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The concept of Cyberfoal is invaluable to breeders having access to the
Internet and recognized by the breeding industry as the international
resource for locating nurse mares and colostrum to orphan foals.
Cyberfoal is a free service, thanks to sponsorship by Paramount Oil &
Gas Ltd of Calgary.
The service of Cyberfoal is to encourage breeders to work together by
reuniting mares having lost foals and foals having lost mares due to
separation of unforeseen circumstances at foaling time. Cyberfoal also
encourages the collection and freezing of colostrum vital to the immune
system of new born foals and a commodity always in great demand. This
service depends solely upon the support of breeders and all who care for
the well-being of foals. Cyberfoal helps all breeds with the service it
provides.
Cyberfoal is not a solution, but an option. The more that use it, the
greater the solution.
The Cyberfoal service is now celebrating its fifth anniversary and will
be publishing its first calendar in 2003 with orphan foals and foals in
unusual situations. All profits of sales being donated to foal research
and rescue.
Anyone wishing to donate an unusual foal photo of the present year, will
receive credits if chosen. Please give name, address, date of foal birth
and history of foal when submitting.
I hope you will enjoy visiting
www.cyberfoal.com and that you will pass our service on to others.
Enjoy your foals.
From us both at Cyberfoal, we wish you happy foaling.
Peter & Terry Hurst.
