since 1993, Linda Bartash has researched local carousels
since 1994, and has created an interesting and never before
released history of regional carousels. Linda currently
lives in the town of Greece, a suburb of Rochester, New
York.
Many carousels that operated within Rochester, New York and
beyond are long-gone. However, these carousels do not have
to be forgotten. In addition to telling the stories of the
current carousels, author Linda M. Bartash traces the
history of former local carousels through different states,
countries, and to their present whereabouts.
